Knott’s Berry Farm has grown to become one of Southern California’s most beloved destinations for family fun with fantastic thrill rides, delicious food, and heartwarming shows.
Billed as “America’s first theme park,” the Knott’s Berry Farm story began around 1920, when the Knott family began selling berries, jam, and homemade pies from a roadside stand. By 1934, the operation had expanded to include home-cooked chicken dinners, drawing bigger and bigger crowds and prompting Walter Knott, the family patriarch, to build a unique enterprise to entertain the growing number of annual visitors.
The park’s spooky Ghost Town was its first themed attraction and its signature Camp Snoopy area opened to the public in 1983. Today, Knott’s Berry Farm includes a total of five themed areas and draws more than 3 million visitors every year. Its most popular highlights are its unique thrill rides, shows, and family-friendly zones, including:
Visitors can also enjoy history-themed attractions including the award-winning Mystery Lodge Theater, where Native North America comes to life. Watch the hilarious antics of old-fashioned cowboys during the Wild West Stunt Show and visit the replica Liberty Bell at the Independence Hall recreation site. It’s so close to the real thing you’d swear you were in Philadelphia!
Kids will delight in the chance to dance and sing along with the Peanuts gang at Camp Snoopy, which has been one of the park’s signature attractions for over 30 years. All in all, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable day of adventure that’s fun for the whole family.
