Round Trip or One Way Transportation STTY (San Francisco to Yosemite) STXY (Yosemite to San Francisco) Trip Includes: Round trip transportation and Yosemite entrance fee. Going to Yosemite: Pick up is available from almost any hotel in central San Francisco area between 6:15 AM and 6:45 AM. The motor coach departs for San Francisco at 7:00 AM. The motor coach travels east through San Joaquin Valley and makes a brief rest stop around 10:30 AM. You enter Yosemite at about 12:15 PM. On the way in, we drive up to Tunnel View to see most of Yosemite Valley, including El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall, and Half Dome. Driving on the south side of Merced River, you see Three Brothers, Sentinel Rock, Yosemite Falls, and the meadows. Past the Chapel and crossing the Sentinel Bridge, we reach Yosemite Lodge by 1:45 PM. If you are staying at another hotel within Yosemite Valley, you can take the free Yosemite shuttle bus from Yosemite Lodge. If you are stay at Yosemite View Lodge or Cedar Lodge in El Portal or Yosemite Bug Hostel in Midpines, you can take the YARTS Bus at 4:15 PM or 5:15 PM. It takes about 25 minutes to get to El Portal from the Yosemite Lodge. It takes another half an hour to Bug Hostel. The YARTS Bus ticket to El Portal ($7) or Bug Hostel ($12) are not included in the price. Return Trip: To come up to Yosemite Valley, you can take the YARTS Bus. There are stops at 7:09 AM at Cedar Lodge and 7:22 AM at Yosemite View Lodge, arriving at Yosemite Lodge at 8:08 AM. From Bug Hostel, the stop is at 8:20 AM and arrives at Yosemite Lodge at 9:52 AM. If you are staying in Yosemite Valley, you just need to make your way to the Yosemite Lodge. The bus departs Yosemite Lodge at 3:45 PM. A brief stop is made at about 6:00 PM and you arrive back in San Francisco after 9:00 PM. Drop off is available at any hotel within the central San Francisco area. There can be traffic delays or late departures, so please do not expect to catch a flight on the same night as your return from Yosemite. If you are going on to San Francisco International Airport, it is best to take a shuttle or taxi from the first stop. This transportation is suitable for other destinations in and around Yosemite such as Wawona, Tenaya Lodge, Oakhurst, and Bass Lake. You would just need to take a shuttle to get to these other destinations. All bookings must be made at least 3 working days in advance, but it is best to book as early as possible. These bookings are normally confirmed within 2 to 5 business days, but confirmation may take longer if the departure date is several weeks or months away.
