Round trip transportation, Yosemite entrance fee, two nights of hotel stay at Yosemite View Lodge, and YARTS Bus tickets for the transfers between Yosemite Valley and Yosemite View Lodge in El Portal.
Pick up is available from almost any hotel in central San Francisco area between 6:15 AM and 6:45 AM. The motor coach departs for San Francisco at 7:00 AM. The motor coach travels east through San Joaquin Valley and makes a brief rest stop around 10:30 AM. You enter Yosemite at about 12:15 PM. On the way in, we drive up to Tunnel View to see most of Yosemite Valley, including El Capitan, Bridalveil Fall, and Half Dome. Driving on the south side of Merced River, you see Three Brothers, Sentinel Rock, Yosemite Falls, and the meadows. Past the Chapel and crossing the Sentinel Bridge, we reach Yosemite Lodge by 1:45 PM. You can store your luggage with the bell staff, while you explore Yosemite. Your next two to three hours are free, so you can walk to Yosemite Falls, take a hike, or take the free shuttle to the Visitor Center & other places around Yosemite. To get to your hotel in El Portal, the YARTS Bus departs from Yosemite Lodge at 4:00 PM, 4:35 PM, 5:20 PM, 5:55 PM, and 8:15 PM. The shuttle takes about 25 minutes. Make sure to take your luggage with you. Your hotel is the Yosemite View Lodge in El Portal. We book you for a deluxe room with a private spa bath, air conditioning, television, refrigerator, and a coffee maker.
If you are interested in a tour for your second or third day, you can make a reservation for the Valley Floor Tour ($25 per adult and $13 per child), the Glacier Point Tour (Available from June to October, $41 per adult and $23 per child), or the 8 hour Grand Tour of the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees and Glacier Point (Available from June to October, $82 per adult and $46 per child). These tours depart from the Yosemite Lodge and can be booked by their tour desk when you arrive or by calling 209-372-4386.
There is a 7:23 AM or 8:56 AM YARTS Bus that departs from El Portal and arrives at the Yosemite Lodge in about 25 minutes. You can spend the day on your own or take one of the tours mentioned above.

You can spend the day on your own or take one of the tours mentioned above. For your return transportation, the bus departs Yosemite Lodge at 3:45 PM. A brief stop is made at about 6:00 PM and you arrive back in San Francisco after 9:00 PM. Drop off is available at any hotel within the central San Francisco area. There can be traffic delays or late departures, so please do not expect to catch a flight on the same night as your return from Yosemite. If you are going on to San Francisco International Airport, it is best to take a shuttle or taxi from the first stop.
All bookings must be made at least 3 working days in advance, but it is best to book as early as possible. These bookings are normally confirmed within 2 to 5 business days, but confirmation may take longer if the departure date is several weeks or months away.

Half Dome rises to an elevation of 8,842 feet. At 87 million years old, the type of granite making up the dome is the youngest plutonic rock in the valley. (Plutonic rock is formed beneath the earth's surface by intense heat, pressure, and slow cooling.)
The base of Yosemite Falls is an easy walk from Shuttle Bus Stop #7 near the Yosemite Lodge. Impressive view of both the upper and lower falls are seen on the path to the base. The two Yosemite falls and an intermediate cascade drop 2,425 feet, combining to make this the tallest waterfall in North America.
