Yosemite Stay Valley Tour - 2 or 3 Days
Stay in Yosemite Valley
Round Trip from San Francisco
Round Trip from San Francisco
Yosemite Valley is located about 215 miles south east of San Francisco. It is possible to stay right inside Yosemite Valley by staying at the Curry Village Cabin, Yosemite Lodge, or Ahwahnee Hotel. Visitors should spend at least one night in order to see the incredible sights.
Trip Includes: Round trip transportation, park entrance fee, hotel stay at Curry Village/ Yosemite Lodge/Ahwahnee Hotel, and either Glacier Point Tour (only available from June to October) or Yosemite Valley Floor Tour (available all year round).

Day 1: Pick up is available from almost any hotel in the central San Francisco area between 6:15 and 6:45 AM. The motor coach leaves San Francisco around 7:00 AM, going through Livermore Valley and over Altamont Pass. With a short stop en route, the arrival at Yosemite Park Big Oak Flat entrance is at about 12:00 PM. As you descend into Yosemite Valley, you see many magnificent sights. Driving along the south side of Merced River, you see Half Dome and the waterfalls during winter, spring, and summer months. The drop off at Yosemite Lodge is at about 1:45 PM. If you are staying at Curry Village or the Ahwahnee Hotel, the Yosemite shuttle takes you there. Check in is at about 4:00 PM. Until then, your hotel will store your luggage for you and you have time to take the free shuttle around the valley to get familiar with the area. The rest of your day is free.
Day 2: There are two tour options included in the package. The first option is the Glacier Point Tour, which leaves Yosemite Lodge at 8:30 AM. The tour takes about four hours and goes up to about 8,000 feet in elevation. It is only available from June to October. When the Glacier Point Tour is not operating or if the elevation bothers you, the alternative is the two hour Yosemite Valley Floor Tour. If you plan to stay in Yosemite for two nights, you have a third option available to you. You can take the eight hour Grand Tour, which includes the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees and Glacier Point, at an additional cost of $41 per person. Please make sure to let us know in advance which option you would like, so we can make the adequate arrangements for you.
The return trip (Day 2 or 3): The return transfer departs Yosemite Lodge at 3:45 PM. A brief stop is made at about 6:00 PM. Over the Altamont Pass, we drive through Livermore Valley and arrive in San Francisco after 9:00 PM. Drop off is available at any hotel within the central San Francisco area. There can be traffic delays or late departures, so please do not expect to catch a flight on the same night as your return from Yosemite. If you are going on to San Francisco International Airport, it is best to take a shuttle or taxi from the first stop.
