San Francisco daytime Segway tours explore the San Francisco waterfront including Fisherman's Wharf, Maritime Park and the Marina Green.
San Francisco night Segway tours explore the spectacular nighttime landscape of the city by the bay. This after hours tour includes back alleys of Fisherman's Wharf, Maritime Pier and the Marina District. Night tour and training time is 2 1/2 hours total.

Most tours will stop for beverages and snacks at Green's in Fort Mason. Every tour makes numerous stops for photos. Night tours do not stop at Greens.


Tour Facts at a glance:

  • San Francisco Guided Waterfront Day Tours: April through October tours depart daily at 9:00 am, 12:45 pm and 4:30 pm. From November until March tours depart daily at 10:30 am and 1:30 pm. Tours depart from Fisherman's Wharf.
  • San Francisco Guided Night Tour: April through October tours depart Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7:00 pm. From November until March Night Tours depart Friday and Saturday at 4:30 pm. Additional evening tours will be added on closed nights for groups of 4.
  • San Francisco Tour explores the San Francisco waterfront including Fisherman's Wharf, Maritime Park and the Marina Green.
  • Training takes 35-45 minutes, Day tour is two hours long Total: 2 1/2 - 3 hours. Night tour and training time is 2 1/2 hours total.
  • Day tour stops for refreshments. Both tours stop for lots of photos.
  • Ages 12 and up, guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. (If you are concerned about mobility issues please call us to discuss. We want every rider to have a safe tour.)
  • Tours are limited to nine riders and reservations are required.
  • Riders must be over 100 pounds and less than 250 pounds (46-113 Kilos).
  • Riders must be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail. Rider must be able to operate the steering control with his or her left hand.

About riding a Segway:

Riding a Segway is similar to riding a bike - it's intuitive but nobody is born knowing how to operate it. That's why we offer 30-40 minutes of training so you can get familiar with the most innovative transportation device of the new millennium!
We will practice on the Segway until everyone feels comfortable and ready to tour San Francisco!
The San Francisco Segway Tour has only a few restrictions. Riders must:
  • Ages 12 and up, guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. (If you are concerned about mobility issues Please call us to discuss. We want every rider to have a safe tour.)
  • Be able to easily and quickly step on and off the Segway without assistance, which requires physical abilities similar to climbing and descending stairs without any assistance or use of a handrail.
  • Rider must be able to operate the steering control with his or her left hand.
  • Weigh between 100 and 250 pounds (36 to 113 kilos)
  • Wear the helmet and safety vest that is provided with the tour.
  • Sign a liability waiver.
  • Complete the Segway rider training and test ride.
  • Respect road signs, pedestrians, bikes and cars for a safe enjoyable ride.
  • No high heels, open toe shoes or sandals.
The 30 - 45 minute training session provides first-time riders with the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to safely operate the Segway. You'll be guided through a simulated obstacle course of cones, turns, and an emergency stop to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience. Training includes:
  • Hands-on training with an instructor.
  • Introductory video.
  • Test ride and skills review.
  • Rider courtesy instruction.
  • Rules of the road.
Helmets and safety vests are mandatory and are included in the tour price.

Tours are conducted in English.
Tour prices do not include meals, beverages, admission fees or souvenirs.
We do not offer hotel pick up service for this tour.

Important: Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time to have adequate time to check in and start your tour and training on schedule. If you arrive late we will NOT let you join a tour group that has already started training. Safety and complete training for all of our guests is our 1st priority.

Tour Rerouting and Weather:
We reserve the right to change the size of the tour to meet requests for that specific day. San Francisco is famous for the fog! Our tours run fog, rain or shine. We always suggest multiple layers of warm clothing for any San Francisco activity. Summer afternoons can be in the 50's. Rain gear is available for those infrequent rainy days. Segways are designed to run in any weather. If seasonal fog/weather obscure the view, tour routes may be altered. You will not be charged if we cancel a tour.

Changes to a Reservation and Cancellation and No Show Policy:
Reservations require a full deposit via Credit Card. We will send an e-mail confirmation of the date and time of your tour. Deposits are fully refundable if the reservation is cancelled 3 days - 72 hours or more prior to the scheduled tour. We have a limited amount of Segways. No Shows are charged in full. The deposit WILL NOT be refunded for any other reason within 72 hours of your scheduled tour. A signed liability waiver is required prior to your tour departure.

Departs:
In San Francisco our tours meet in the heart of Fisherman's Wharf - 165 Jefferson Street 2nd Floor. Look for the aqua doors. We are near the corner Jefferson at Taylor Street and the Fisherman's Wharf sign. There are many paid parking lots and garages within a few blocks of our location. On street metered parking is very limited. The F-Line Historic Street Cars and both MUNI Cable Cars lines all transport visitors to the Wharf.

Closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day.
